If you're looking for decent beer / food in Reading at not-too-extortionate prices, and a good festival atmosphere, just thought I'd throw my 2p's worth in and recommend the Oakford too.

It's right opposite the station and is one of my regular haunts in the town now (I live nearby, so I get the chance to visit more than once a year!). In fact, I'll probably be in there tomorrow night...
