Katster nothing more anoying than an internal candidate who is going to get the job and they are just going through the motions. A waste of everybodies time and raising your hopes.

I finished today. It was quite bizarre, I went in at 6 as normal and there wasn't much work. I asked the manager if we were going to be finished on the contract today, and he said it could be up to Wednesday. After 3 hours of looking at a blank screen I got my coat, handed in my pass and said to the manager "Sod this for a game of soldiers, I'm wasting my time, when I could be effing asleep, I'm pissing off. Thanks for the work. See you next Christmas". I promptly went home and back to bed.

I got a phone call this afternoon from the manager asking if I'd like to return on Monday as he has put me on the "preferred" list of agency workers. I think I am going to have to be more surly in future, and I'll get offered loads of work.

You think maybe I got possessively discriminated for because im dislexic? Afaik any company worth there salt (and who dosent want a million law suits) dosent pass on the equal ops form to the interview panel...

No, I dont think it happened. I was just wondering if the thought ever occurred to you. I'm just curious because, other than having Crohns, it's not something I have any experience of.

Id never really thort about it. Like I say normally the way application forms work is all personal info is removed before the short-listing panel get to see it.

You can get an interview by putting it on your application form in the disabilitiy section

Yeah but thats more sever disabilities than dyslexia.

You can put dyslexia and it will guarntee you an interview, well it does with local government anyway

FINALLY!!

I've got a start date, 26th Jan (only 14 weeks after the interview ).

The best bit of all this is that at last I'll get to be with Rabid everyday, without the need to travel from one end of the country to another.
