Interview advice please

It's nice to see that people are still interestd, i thought our "Y"generation are a bunch of work shy fops who do dnot give a damn, I have been recruiting for 2 positions within my organisation since November last year and still I have no one to do the work. I am recruiting for a "trainee" Internal Sales advisor, small family business but very well established and are market leaders, youngish team(I am 32, our Managing Director is 36, took over from her father) and the time I have spent on this recrutiment you would not beleive, I have 4 agencies working on this and after 3 months of telephones, sit down interviews I finally found my guy, bought the extra computer, had 'it' here, new phone lines, training manuals etc... he was so excited and had also been made redundent, the day came for him to start and the trains were cancelled the day after he did not come in becasue he thought everyone would laugh at him for not coming in on his firwst day (he actually said this) so any advise on where you think I might be going wrong from an employer?

I held a telephone interview with a girl last week who stopped half way through the interview to scream "WILL YOU SHUT THE f**k UP I AM ON THE PHONE" !!

The interview today went really well! I answered all questions fully and wasn't shy/nervous like I usually am in situations like that.

I recently had a training session at work which I found very useful, I think it's had some sort of lasting effect on me confidence wise which is great stuff really.

The job I applied for sounds amazing and very 'me', fingers crossed I get it, I'm fairly confident ;)
