Mardy
This clip (and that Feelgood's thing you posted on the other thread) has made my day. I love his passion here, he's proper raging, howling, it's beautiful stuff.
grumpyhack
One of my favourites songs is about rather than by Dylan. It's Diamonds and Rust by Joan Baez in which she talks about their relationship in bittersweet terms (it was written after their breakup). Great lines: Well you burst on the scene Already a legend The unwashed phenomenon The original vagabond

The Nal
Never seen this before. Isis live from around the time it was released. Wow! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTxi9V3aIAg Also, bizarrely, his next Bootleg series focuses on Self Portrait. An album he acknowledged as being purposely shit. A total enigma. The Nal
Unreleased song - Pretty Saro - been in Columbia's vaults for 43 years since it was disregarded for Self Portrait.
The Nal
Seems appropriate for this thread too. This is sweet, sweet revenge Nal. Revenge for what? The Nal
All your pictures advocating a certain someone for the Sunday legend slot this year. In the current absence of TedDansonsWig from these boards, I can only aim my ire at you. ah! That was serious!! Well, nearly. Point taken though! The Nal
Yeah New Morning (1970) is pretty good. Only really got into it in the last year or so. George Harrison covered If Not For You on Allo Things Must Pass but I prefer His Bobess' version. http://youtu.be/umGwBLCbQvg Edited August 7, 2013 by The Nal
The Nal
Cheers mate. Like the sound of them on first listen. There's a record fair near me bank holiday weekend (ours not yours or I'd have missed it) so will keep an eye out. If not, ebay it is. You've brightened my day. I work in the UK market so get UK bank holidays. Didn't know there was one on the 26th! Delighted! May go for a record shop that day myself. The Nal
Do you get both you jammy get? Or do you have to work Irish ones if they're not the same. If so, you lose out then don't you? If memory serves, you lazy Irish get more bank holidays than us. Yeah we get one more. I don't get both no but I get an extra days holiday. womadman
Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues again. :- C,Am,C,Am,C,Am,F,G,, C,Am,C,Am,C,Am,F,C,, Em,Em,Em,Em,C,G,Am,C,F, CC, Great song. Anyone want to form a Dylan tribute act? I usually play drums but do rhythm geetar too
womadman
Back on topic (don't want to pollute a Dylan thread with more Ferry) can you recommend any non-obvious Dylan for vinyl. I have all his 60s albums on either CD or vinyl, but am wary of shelling out for anything later due to reputation of some dodgy stuff. I picked up Desire dirt cheap and it's made me realise there must be more great stuff I haven't heard. I also have Blood on The Tracks so basically everything from debut to Nashville Skyline (apart from JWH but I know I need to get that) plus Desire and BOTT. Modern Times is essential
