Cultseeker
If you like the monotone voice of Mosely and less well developed writing then I understand why. Edited April 16, 2008 by Cultseeker
hitmanhague
I do. I like the dichotomy found in its child-like innocent quality and its wounded contempt. Both things that Patten adopted albeit with far more aggresion, expansion and sophistication. I like both. I just prefer that album. I play it more than any other. Both are good and I admire the difference. One emasculated and fun, the other empowered and visceral. Both cutting.
Cultseeker
A well written post which I find hard to counter.
0livavu
The Brixton Academy album is fantastic. 'The Real Thing', 'Falling To Pieces', 'Epic', 'War Pigs'...all fantastic!

thomasowen
Would they headline? I dont know much about them tbh, they sound like giant red hot chili pepper rip offs, and I seem to remember there being a big rivalry between the two bands but my knowlege is not great. thegremlin_1999
If they play Reading they'd be second-from-top.
thomasowen
I have seen them on many one hit wonder lists. I doubt they would headline after a look on wiki.

Sparticus
i bought their best of a couple of years back as i loved epic and easy (which turns out wasn't on the best of lol), but for £2 it was a brilliant intro to the band, i remember putting it on being curious and the first track being out of from out of nowhere, fantastic introduction and would love to get my funk on to them. as for the rhcp and faith no more comparisons, chillis were a cool band a long time ago, they still churn out the odd good hit but for the most part their the most obvious cash cow in the music biz (other than maybe rolling stones), can't quite say faith no more went down that route
thomasowen
Really, which of the following hits were on the lists?
tom.a7x
Only herd a few tracks by FNM, from what i've herd ive liked, so yeh i'd be more than happy to see them there, i think if they play they'll be second from top or maybe third but no lower than that imo. Jaybles
At the very highest second headliner... maybe to Guns N Roses when they reform following the release of Chinese Democracy.... so about 2015?
pinback
ur kidding right? they'd headline by a mile... it'd be no different to pearl jam, pumpkins or pixies being there...
darrenbha
nme.com report as follows Faith No More are set to reform and play a European tour this year. The reformation of the band, led by Mike Patton, was confirmed by their publicist, reports Idolator.com. It is reported that the band, who initially split in 1998 with the band members pursuing other musical outlets, will play a European tour this year - with summer festival dates likely. It is thought that guitarist Jim Martin, who left the band in 1993, will not be part of the reunion.

hombrederayo
This is fantastic news. one of my fave bands of alltime. If this turns out to be true and they play reading, then I will definitely go. this was going to be my 1st year of not going, but not now if this turns out to be true. kaosmark2
Sweeeeeeeeeeet. And they'd play 2nd.
beLIEveR
Fantastic news, although I reckon my best chance of seeing them is at Lowlands. Frankly, I can't see how they'll end up playing Reading if they're headlining Download, which is where my money's on.
shoptildrop
It was epic on a VH1 list of the all time best one hit wonders. Well to my ears being a big chili peppers fan and only having heard a few songs by faith no more thats what it sounds like to me. I mean epic is complet RHCP rip off. I know there has been a lot of ctiticism at FNM in this department and I know the two bands cant stand each other.
thomasowen
Are you for real?!!! I think you will find that RHCP rip FNM off and so has Foos while we are at it IMO They have almost got a "godlike" following with fans - Mike Patton has just be seen as something else.... I understand that not everyone likes FNM but their influences are very strong and can be heard in numerous bands I'm completely bais as do love FNM and have done since 92, hope they do a tour this year but I don't think you will see them at Leeds my money's on download or Sonisphere Edited February 26, 2009 by thomasowen
