Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem 2001

Saturday 16th June 2001
Turweston Park, Turweston, Brackley, Northants. NN13 5YD, England
£46 (plus fees)

Outkast have cancelled their appearance at next weekends Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem, apparently due to a hospital apointment. Faithless have already been lined-up as a replacement for their spot on the Live Stage, appearing with Craig David, Musiq Soulchild, Morcheeba and others.

Faithless - who are widely regarded as one of the best live acts to ever hit this planet (and we strongly agree!) - will be for the first time playing their new album "Outrospective" live. The album is released two days after Summer Soundsystem.

Sister Bliss commented: "It's our job as a live band to appeal to every-one. Get yourself to Summer SoundSystem. Come without prejudice and bring your dancing trousers." The true spirit of festivals!

Meanwhile, it's been revealed that Gatecrasher have been speaking to Snoop Dogg for quite a while, trying to coax him this side of the pond to play. Nothing is certain as yet, but Gatecrasher remain hopeful that he'll come.

DJ-wise, Gatecrasher has the Chemical Brothers only UK summer festival appearance, as well as Paul Oakenfold, Pete Tong, Sasha, Carl Cox, Nick Warren, Erick Morillo, Judge Jules, Mauro Picotto, Lisa Lashes, Roni Size, Fabio, Grooverider, Richie Hawtin and loads more.
