Coldplay have been approached by T in the Park to be one of the headliners for next summer, according to a report in the Daily Record.
T in the Park organisers are awaiting confirmation that Coldplay will be in the UK at the time and free of recording commitments. Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman said: "We are planning to do T In The Park next year as headliners. We'll do T In The Park, but we won't do Glastonbury again because we headlined there in the summer."
Geoff Ellis - the man behind T in the Park - has also checked out the availability of Robbie Williams, but the festival can't meet the going rate for the mega-star of the moment, who is expected to play two shows in his own right at Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium.
