WOMAD - being held at Rivermead, Reading, Berkshire on 25-27 July - has announced the first details of this years line-up before tickets go on sale tomorrow.

This year WOMAD will present over 70 artists from more than 30 countries featured across seven indoor & outdoor stages. The line-up of artists announced so far includes: Ali Slimani (Algeria/UK); Asad Qizilbash (Pakistan); Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks (USA); Lo'Jo (France); Manu Dibango & Ray Lema (Cameroon/Democratic Republic of Congo); Oumou Sangare (Mali); Sevara Nazarkhan (Uzbekistan); Super Rail Band of Bamako (Mali) and Temple of Sound (UK) - plus many more artists to be announced over the coming months.

As well as the music, there's also participatory workshops for adults & children; the cabaret tent; DJ sessions and live performance in the late night WOMAD club; a traditional funfair; shopping in the massive 'Global Village' with international food, drink and merchandise stalls selling crafts from around the world.

Tickets are on sale from 15th March. "Early Bird" savings are available on weekend tickets (which include free camping) - they cost £85 currently, and will cost £92 from 1st May. Day tickets cost £29 for Friday, £49 for Saturday and £44 for Sunday. Children aged 13 and under are free when accompanied with an adult, and concessions are available.
