Reading Festival 2003

Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, England MAP
£95 for weekend (SOLD OUT), £40 any day

In a move that we've been expecting for several weeks, it's been confirmed that Courtney Love won't be appearing at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.

We've been aware that a message had appeared on her website saying that she wouldn't be there, but we always take the organisers word for such things - particularly as bands often don't know what their representatives are doing for them. We'd asked the organisers about this several times over the past weeks, but until now they were unable to confirm.

The organisers have said that a band of similar stature will be booked as a replacement, although it's unknown at this time who that might be.

Both the Reading and Leeds Festivals have a line-up that includes Linkin Park, Blur, Metallica, Blink 182, Placebo, The White Stripes, Beck, Doves, System of a Down, Sum 41, Primal Scream, and loads more already announced, with even more still to be added. For the confirmed acts (so far) and the rumours click here for Reading and here for Leeds.

Reading Festival takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend of Friday 22nd August until Sunday 24 August along with the simultaneous Leeds Festival.

Reading Festival takes place Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Leeds Festival takes place at Bramham Park, nr Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Tickets are priced at £95 for the weekend (including camping) and £40 for any day. Weekend tickets for Reading are already sold out, and day tickets are selling very fast.
