The Darkness are now confirmed for next year's T in the Park. They join the already confirmed headliner, David Bowie, who says he's playing on the Saturday.
They played this year - opening the Main Stage on the Sunday - and attracted a huge crowd, whilst other stages at that point had just a handful of people watching. During their performance they were told that their album 'Permission to Land' had charted at number 2. This caused a little confusion, as they thought they were being told they could only play two more songs.
T in the Park takes place at Balado near Kinross on 10th and 11th July. Weekend tickets are already on sale (and selling faster than ever before!), at the "early bird" prices of £70 for both days, and £83 for both days with camping. Ticket prices are expected to cost £5 more at the end of the early bird period (which isn't known, but is normally around the beginning of April). Day tickets are expected to be on sale at some point.
