The Libertines pull out of Isle of Wight Festival

It's just been confirmed by promoters Solo that The Libertines have pulled out of the Isle of Wight Rock Festival which takes place this coming weekend. They were due to appear on the Sunday.

Although reasons weren't given, this is obviously due to Pete's much publicised drug problems. He has flown to Thailand for a course of rehab at the Thamkrabok Monastery.

It's unknown as yet if there will be any replacement act. It's also unknown as to whether The Libertines other festival appearances - which include Glastonbury, T in the Park, and the Reading & Leeds festivals - will be going ahead.
