Oysterband's the Big Session Festival which is happening over the weekend of 16-18 June at De Montfort Hall and Gardens, Leicester has virtaully completed the line-up.
Joining the acts already confirmed - which includes Levellers (Acoustic), Oysterband, Seth Lakeman, June Tabor, Chumbawamba Acoustic, Martin Simpson, Jackie Leven, Martha Tilston, and more are Nizlopi, Tin Tin Lady, Julie Fowlis, The Eighteenth Day of May, Hayley Hutchinson, and Random Challoth Band. The weekend has acts from the roots and folk music worlds performing their own full length sets, peaking with the Oysterband's headline appearance on Saturday night. 2006 brings much more music, an expanded outdoor venue, a larger beer tent with open mic space, more sessions and a bigger market place. As well as artists performing in their own right there will be lunchtime and impromptu sessions, a ceilidh, a children's area and more throughout the weekend.
