Comedy & Cabaret Stage announced for Reading and Leeds

The twin Carling Weekend: Reading & Leeds Festivals have announced the line-up for the Comedy and Cabaret Stage.

Comedians confirmed to play the Comedy and Cabaret Stage on Friday 25th August at Reading (which takes place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire) include Alan Carr, Simon Anstell, Simon Evans, Adam Bloom, Matt Blaize, Ben Norris, Stephano Paulino, and Steve Gribbin.

There will be cabaret from The Luci And Dave Pain Circus featuring Esme, Mr Methane, and Empress Stah. Also there will be music from the Goldierockers DJs and Stars Up Their Arse Karaoke.

Comedians confirmed to play the Comedy and Cabaret Stage on Saturday 26th August at Reading include Stewart Lee, Ben Hurley, Rob Rouse, Rick Right, Hugh Lennon, Jason John Whitehead, Markus Birdman, Jason Rouse, and Rob Deering.

There will be cabaret from Burly Q Cabaret and Lucifire. There will also be music from Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies, Archie Bronson Outfit, Tilly And The Wall plus the Goldierockers DJs and Stars Up Their Arse karaoke.

On Sunday 27th August comedy at the Comedy and Cabaret Stage will come from Russell Brand, Reverend Obodiah Steppenwolf III, Brendan LoveGrove and Angelo Tsaroushas, plus more to be announced.

On both days there will be a Vox n Roll Music Quiz.

There will be music from Sikth, Enter Shikari, and The Quiet Kill on Thursday 24th August at Leeds Festival which takes place at Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire. There will also be Punk Rock Karaoke and the film 'Metal- A Headbangers Journey'.

Comedians confirmed to play the Comedy and cabaret Stage on Friday 25th August at Leeds include Adam Hills, Patrick Monahan, Al Pitcher, Jim Jeffries, Jason John Whitehead, Hugh Lennon, Markus Birdman, John Bishop, Jason Rouse, and Rob Deering.

There will also be music from Youth Movie Soundtrack Strategies, Archie Bronson Outfit, and Ratt-att-agg, as well as some Domino Film Shorts.

The line up for the Comedy and Cabaret Stage at Leeds on Saturday 26th August includes comedy from Alan Carr, Andrew Bird, Jon Richardson, Lloyd Langford, Ben Norris, Stephano Paulino, Jason Manford, Cole Parker, Matt Blaize, and Steve Gribbin.

There will be cabaret until 2am from Dirty Sanchez who will be performing a world premiere of their new show, Renegade Burlesque and Circus Of Horrors, music from Failsafe, and DJing from Queens Of Noize.

On Sunday 27th August there will be comedy at Leeds from Stewart Lee, Simon Amstell, Mitch Benn, Rob Rouse, Mick Ferry, Yianni Agisilaou, Barry Castagnalo, Toby Foster, and Dog Eared Comedy Sketch Club.

There will also be cabaret from Burly Q Cabaret, Circus Of Horrors and Josh Dogging Act and music from Tilly And The Wall, Semifinalists and Queens Of Noize DJing.

There have also been some new acts added to the line-up, Story of the Year are playing the Main Stage at Reading on the Sunday and Leeds on the Friday. From First to Last have been confirmed for the Lock Up Stage, playing Reading on Friday and Leeds on Saturday. Goose and DJ Dave Beer have both been confirmed to play the Dance Stage on Sunday at Reading and Friday at Leeds.

The Reading and Leeds festivals have a line-up that includes Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Pearl Jam, Kaiser Chiefs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, The Streets, Feeder, Placebo, My Chemical Romance, Slayer, Primal Scream, The Raconteurs, Maximo Park, Dizzee Rascal, Coheed & Cambria, The Rakes, and loads more, with many more still to be confirmed.
