Lets Rock! Edinburgh is a brand new festival to be held in Scotland's capital on Saturday 30th September.
The festival has announced that 33 bands will play over 3 stages with the music carrying on through the night until 3am.
Acts already confirmed for the Highland and Lowland stages are Feeder, Idlewild, Babyshambles, The Futureheads, The Rakes, The Mystery Jets, Ed Harcourt, The Long Blondes, Morning Runner, The Young Knives, The Datsuns, Juliette and The Licks, Rooster, The Crimea, Kosheen, and The On Offs.
The Central Stage will also feature performances from Boy Least Likely To, Kubichek!, Brigade, Members of the Public, Fear of Music, and The Scare. For the full list of acts to date, please visit here.
Let's Rock! Edinburgh are well aware that the Scottish weather isn't the most reliable so although there will be outdoor attractions the main focus will still be the indoor stages. The festival claims to be the biggest of it's kind in the city and will shortly be confirming more Scottish acts to the line-up.
An unsigned Scottish act will also be given the opportunity to perform at Lets Rock! Edinburgh by opening the Central Stage. A select panel will judge bands based on their myspace profiles and then select 6 acts to perform on a special live night at Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh in September. The winner will be announced on the night.
Tickets cost £38 and are on sale now and can be bought from here.
