Love Not Riots Organisers of the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals are promising to continue the entertainment until the early hours of the morning.

The entertainment will run from Thursday to Sunday at Leeds and Friday and Saturday at Reading, and will give festival goers the opportunity to carry the partying on well after the main acts have finished.

Planned for both sites will be comedy, cabaret, DJ’s, cinema screenings and more...

Fancy Chance and the Burly Q Cabaret will be performing on the Cabaret and Comedy stage, as will Tilly and the Wall, playing after Muse have finished their headline slot over on the main stage. Other cabaret acts include Lucifire, and there will be the world premiere of Dirty Sanchez’s new show at Leeds.

The Radio 1/NME Stage will be transformed into a Silent Disco once the bands have departed, and will keep going until 3am. DJ’s at Leeds will be the boys from the club Brighton Beach, whilst Reading will see Radio One’s Steve Lamacq and Bethan Elfyn joined by the ladies of My Ex-Boyfriend’s Records.

Also at both sites, The Dance Stage or Lock-Up Stage (depending on the day) will become a cinema when the music ends, with screenings lasting until 4am at Reading and 3am at Leeds.

At Leeds, there will be a skate ramp until the early hours with skaters and BMXers pulling outrageous tricks. Finally, the Aftershock’s Arena and Duracell’s Power Bar in the village will also be keeping the vibe up late into the night.

The Reading and Leeds festivals will have a line-up that includes Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Pearl Jam, Kaiser Chiefs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, The Streets, Feeder, Placebo, My Chemical Romance, Slayer, Primal Scream, The Raconteurs, Maximo Park, Dizzee Rascal, Coheed & Cambria, The Rakes, and loads more, with many more still to be confirmed. For the full line-up to date, click here for Reading or here for Leeds.

Weekend tickets for both sites have sold out, but you can still buy day tickets for the Friday and Saturday at Leeds and the Friday at Reading (click here).
