Rolling Stones confirmed for the Isle of Wight Festival

As expected, The Rolling Stones have just confirmed themselves as the headline act for the Sunday night of the Isle of Wight Festival.

This will be the first festival the Stone's have playing in the UK since 1976, when they played at Knebworth.

The Stones will also play at the O2 Arena in London (the Millenium Dome) on Tuesday 21st August, and at Ireland's Slane Castle on Saturday 18th August. Tickets in some countries will go on sale from Saturday, 24 March. See all local press and www.rollingstones.com for details.

The Isle of Wight Festival takes place at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th June 2007. Tickets are sold out.
