Field Day is a brand new summer event bringing together many of London’s alternative concert and club promoters to produce a day of music, dancing and maximum hoopla set in London’s Victoria Park on Saturday 11th August.

With four music stages, and a capacity of 5,000, acts confirmed so far are 1990’s, Absentee, Adem, Andrew Weatherall, Archie Bronson Outfit, Battles, Bat For Lashes, Ben Fat Trucker, Boys Noize, Caribou, Electrelane, Erol Alkan, Fence Collective presents 3 Craws, Foals, Four Tet, Fridge, James Yorkston, Jo Jo De freq, Metronomy, Pull Tiger Tail, The Aliens, and The Earlies, with many more live acts and djs to be announced soon.

Music is the main driver but it also aims to have the charm of a village fete. So in addition to the main musical activities there will be food and drink, a brass band on the Victorian Band Stand, Coconut Shy, Tombola, Tea and Cake stall, Welly throwing, Barn dancing, Tug of War, Morris Dancing, Burlesque tent hosted by Time for Tea, a Hoedown tent, and a Largest Marrow competition (oo-er missus).

Commenting on the inaugural Field Day, Johnno from Bugged Out! and Field Day co-promoter said: "Field Day will be a decidedly different and welcome addition to London’s play it safe summer calendar. We will create an event that showcases the finest bands, DJ’s and artists that the UK has to offer, while celebrating London as the UK’s largest village!"

The event will run from noon until 10.30pm. Tickets are priced at £22.50, and are on sale from 9am Friday 13th April. We'll have links to buy when available.
