Only day tickets available - Thursday only

Larmer Tree Festival held from Wednesday 16th - Sunday 20th July has opened its box office telephone lines to sell the few remaining Larmer Tree Festival tickets, held back specifically for phone and postal sales. But they warn, "Internet bookings have soared this year so customers need to be quick to bag a ticket as they have almost sold out!" Call 023 8071 1820 to avoid disappointment.

This is the festival's coming-of-age 18th year, and the 5-day event has already announced this year's line-up. This is a festival of largely acoustic folk and world music, but also roots, blues, jazz, Americana, reggae and more. New names added to the bill are 3 Daft Monkeys playing on Friday, Park Bench Social Club, The Sables, Black Bart, Michael Wookey Band, Andrea Soler, Rory Ellis, Ash Grunwald, Rachel Harrington, Dan Arborise, Bizali, Dogan Mehmet, The Family, Perico With The Paper Cinema, Ash Grunwald, Rachel Harrington, Dan Arborise, Ruth Notman, 12 Stone Toddler, The Wallbirds, Nuala & The Alchemy Quartet, Smerins Anti-Social Club, Dr Joel, Bedouin Jerry Can Band, Justin Adams & Juldeh Camara, Mor Karbasi, Mankala, No 1 Station, Yes Sir Boss, and on Sunday Tinariwen bring their unique blend of desert blues to the festival.

Already confirmed for the Wednesday are Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, with support from acoustic blues artist Eric Bibb. On the Thursday there's the Levellers, with funky folk big-band Bellowhead. Also confirmed, to play over the weekend of Friday 18th to Sunday 20th are Kate Rusby, Julie Fowlis, and LaXula.

Live music from around the world now rings out from 6 stages, after the introduction of a popular new venue The Social last year. The festival generally has a lovely chilled atmosphere, and is child-friendly, all set on a gorgeous site in lovely Victorian pleasure gardens with a free campsite next door, with free showers and well serviced toilets. There's numerous workshops for adults and children, therapy sessions and street theatre are also on offer.

Tickets are on sale, priced at £172 for 5 days; £139 for 4 days; £110 for 3 days; and days priced at £33 for the Wednesday, £29 for the Thursday, £35 for the Friday, £55 for the Saturday, and £48 for the Sunday.
