YOU WILL NEED
To buy tickets, you'll need to have pre-registered and have your registration number to hand, plus the registration number and names of anyone else you're buying for. Tickets are sent to the first named ticket holder.
You will need your debit card to hand to give all the necessary information to complete your purchase, including the security number on reverse.
A registration number may only be used once, which will prevent inadvertent duplicate purchases. You are only able to use one card per transaction - therefore we recommend you pool money into one account before Sunday if you are buying for other people.
There will be cases where there may be more than one purchase from an address which has multiple occupancy. Such cases will be checked to ensure there are no duplicate purchases.
You will not be able to change the name on the ticket, nor let someone else use your ticket, so make sure the details you give are correct. Checks will be carried out to ensure that only the registered person in the photograph on the ticket will be admitted to the Festival. You will not need to bring ID with you to the festival for anyone who has a ticket.
CHILDREN
Children aged 12 and under on June 25th 2008 must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult, are admitted free and do not need a ticket nor do they need to have registered with the Festival. ID should be brought if the child looks over the age of 12 - otherwise they may not be admitted.
In addition to the four tickets adults can purchase, they will also be able to buy a maximum of two Child tickets. These tickets are full price and are for children aged 13, 14 and 15, who must be accompanied at the entry gate by a ticket holding adult. Children aged 13 to 15 when the festival starts must have already registered.
Tickets can be bought for a maximum of four people, except for families with children aged 13, 14 and 15, or if you rent a tipi on site, see below.
PAYMENT
Glastonbury only accepts debit cards - credit cards are not allowed - so ensure there is enough money in your account to pay for your tickets if you are using this payment option.
Postal orders and cheques are also accepted, and you will be given a reference number when you book.
After that you only have five working days to send your in your payment (to SeeTickets, P.O. Box 9091, Nottingham NG1 9DA) - cheques must be made out to Glastonbury Festival 2008.
Tickets will be dispatched by recorded delivery at least 14 days before the festival.
TIPIS
Another option to get a ticket is to hire a tipi with 6 tickets package these cost £1,730 to rent a tipi for the duration of the festival. Should you choose to come with less than six people, or with a mix of adults and children, the price remains constant.
The tipis will be rented on a first come, first served basis when tickets go on sale at 9am on Sunday 6th of April. Tipi bookings will only be taken on the dedicated Tipi booking line 0844 412 4625. Each person over the age of 12 in your party will need to be registered with the Festival.
If you are permanently living abroad, you can only buy these tickets through the International Ticket Sales Line 0044 1159 934 183.
CAR PARK/CAMPERVANS
Car park and camper van/caravan tickets will also be available for purchase when you buy your tickets. The car park costs £10 per vehicle, while camper vans and caravans cost £50 each.
COACHES
There will be the option to buy combined festival and coach tickets. You will be able to choose a specific coach for arrival and for departure and it is your responsibility to be on time and board the correct coach. Departure points available are: London, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Coventry, Nottingham, Cheltenham, Cardiff, Bristol, Bournemouth, Southampton, Oxford, Cambridge and Leicester. There will be multiple departures from each of these locations on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, plus extra coaches from London and Birmingham on both Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Coaches will leave the site to all of the above locations between 5am and 3pm on Monday (with over 90% leaving after 6am). The full schedule will be online to view whilst booking on www.seetickets.com.
If you buy a coach + Festival Ticket package, you must travel by coach. Your Festival tickets will be given out during the journey to the Festival site, on presentation of your coach ticket. They will not be issued at the departure point or on arrival to the Festival.
COMBINED TRAIN TICKETS
A new option for 2008 is the offer of a combined train and Festival ticket. These tickets in conjunction with First Great Western trains will allow passengers from London Paddington to travel by train to either Castle Cary or Bristol Temple Meads, where transfer buses to the Festival site will be available. These tickets will cost £55 return, on top of the price of a Festival ticket and will be available exclusively from www.seetickets.com.
On both Wednesday and Thursday there will be regular off peak trains between 9:15 and 15:15. When booking there will be a choice of day, time and destination. So it's worth deciding this before 9am Sunday. Customers must retain their reservation & tickets to board the bus from the station to the site at no extra charge. On Monday morning, people will be able to get a train back to London at their leisure (no reservations), so long as they leave from the same station they arrived at, and still have their valid ticket.
TICKET CONFIRMATION
When purchasing online, you will be sent a confirmation email by Seetickets with a booking reference number. Please check your spam folder if you do not get it within 24 hours. Keep the confirmation email in a safe place. If you have any queries about your purchase you will need the booking reference number. When purchasing by telephone you will be told your booking reference number - make sure you have a pen handy and write down the reference number and keep it safe. It is confirmation of your purchase which you may need. You will be able to use the ticket tracker with this number to confirm your purchase.
RESALE
There will be a re-sale of returned tickets on Sunday April 27th through www.seetickets.com. Details will be posted both here and on the Glastonbury Festival website in the week beforehand.
