At a series of eight gigs last month 48 unsigned acts in Scotland competed for the chance to play T in the Park and the winning 16 bands who will play on the T Break stage have been announced.
Thosee acts are Be A Familiar, Come On Gang, Departures, Ex Wives, Haight-Ashbury, Isosceles, Jocasta Sleeps, Joe Acheson Quartet, No Kilter, Running With Horses, State Of Affairs, The Down And Outs, The Fire And I, The King Hats, We See Lights, and Zoey Van Goey.
A panel of industry judges determined the winners, and George Kyle, Head of Sponsorship at Tennent's Lager stated, "Each year we look forward to welcoming the best in unsigned Scottish talent to the T Break stage. By giving these acts an opportunity to perform at T in the Park we can introduce them to thousands of music lovers and give them the recognition and support they deserve."
Dave McGeachan at DF Concerts added, "There's another great T Break line up this year. T Break means a lot to the bands involved as it can result in the industry sitting up and taking some notice. Last year Attic Lights became the subject of a bidding war after playing T Break and they now have a 5 album deal with a major label. We're looking forward to following the career paths of this year's chosen acts."
