The Wickerman Festival held at East Kirkcarswell Farm, nr Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway in the South West of Scotland on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July have announced a host of new additions to the this year's line-up.
The Capitol Scooter Tent line-up includes the new additions of The Underground Heroes, We Are The Physics, Parka, The Draymin, Root System, Orphan Boy, The Foxes, Esperanza, and The Fire And I.
The acts newly confirmed for the Summerisle Main Stage are Sarah Gillespie, Suzuki Method, Chi Weapon, and King Kayak.
The first names for the Axis Sound System Reggae Tent are Dr Huxtable (Axis Founder), MIKEY D.O.N., Bushrocker, and Rocket Hi Fi.
This year in the Eden Zone the Bhuta Tent offers audiences a selection of breaks, beats and house artists including Dylan Rhymes, Louis Osbourne, Simon Jackson, Easy B, Believe, Silver Storic, G-Mac, Chris Brown, Jakal, Al Majik, Siern, DD, Code 9, Daggsy, Ray McKinnie, A-Dam, Gayle, Braw, Tony Smoke, and Sinister.
Also in the same zone is the psy trance Votan Stage who present Yab-Yum (Live), Zub Zub (Live), Ajja, Beatnik (Live), Gaspard (DJ set), Flooting Grooves (Live Progressive Psy Trance), Liquid Ross (DJ set), Jon Kenobi (Live), Kana - Japan (DJ set), Master Margarita (DJ set), Morph (DJ set), Psionic Entity, Terrazania, Rowan, Tzolkin, Colin Oood (Live), Wicki (DJ set), and Zefer (DJ set).
The Vishnu Lounge offers festival goers a chance to chill in the Eden Zone and will have performances from Trancient Dreams, Kuba, Champgipgnon (Live), Zub Zub (Chillset Live), Peaking Goddess Collective (Live), Flooting Grooves (Live), Dymons (Live), Master Margarita (Live), Cosmosophy (Live), and Jumble Sale Sounds (Live).
There are also new names confirmed for the Skiddle.com Showcase Arena stages. On the Main Stage till be Andrew Johnson, Martyn Van Taylson, The Organic DJ's, Mango Trasher (Live). The For No reason Stage has Adam Shelton (Below), Dave Sandford (Dirty Disco), Paul Kaminska (mono_cult), Tom Craven (BackToFront), Matt Long vs Brad Mercer (mono_cult), John Baker (Language), and Clark Kent (for no reason). Lastly the arena's Mutant Frequencies stage will showcase Chris Emerson (Holy Are You), Lucy, The Daytripper, Johnny Thieves (Olde Time Religion), General Irritant (Bass Militia), Damian (Lost + Found/Bwaap), Chairman Blau (Rehab), Club Olio, Sam P., Gamma Jack & Knowing Flame, Hereldeduke (Rife Records), Johnny Thieves, and Fran Collinson.
They join a line-up which will have over 100 acts. The headliners so far confirmed are Gary Numan playing on Friday, and KT Tunstall playing Saturday. They will be joined by artists including Dub Pistols featuring Terry Hall, Hugh Cornwell, Dodgy, x-Press 2, Digitalis, The Cuban Brothers, Sham 69, Damien Dempsey, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, De Rosa, Fangs, Zoey Van Goey, Broken Records, Beatnic Prestige, Alabama 3, Sonic Boom Six, Tim Sheridan, The Ads, Action Group, Jesus H. Foxx, Twisted Nerve, The Eddies, and Neville Staple, with Dream Machine playing a post midnight closing slot. For the line-up details to date please see here.
Tickets are on sale here, priced at £75 for the two days, or £50 for just the Saturday, and campervans costing an extra £20. Children aged 12 years and under are free.
