Started in 2001 and happening annually near Dundrennan, in South West Scotland, The Wickerman Festival welcomes about 18,000 people on to isolated farmland with ten stages, a children's area, workshops, funfair, outdoor cinema, children's circus and more. All families welcome with kids under 14 free.
The climax of the annual happening is the burning of a 25 foot high wickerman sculpture on Saturday at midnight. The festival was cancelled in 2016. The festival is unlikely to make a return but who knows.
