Reading & Leeds announce line-up for Festival Republic Stage

Reading and Leeds festivals have announced the line-ups for the Festival Republic Stage at the twin festival taking place on the bank holiday weekend, from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August. There are three acts named as headliners for the stage on each day of the festival.

The new stage sees a triple header of acts headlining the stage on Friday 22nd August at Reading and Saturday 23rd August at Leeds, they are Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, and Late Of The Pier.

On Saturday 23rd August at Reading, and Sunday 24th August at Leeds the Festival Republic Stage will see headline slots from Elliot Minor, The Audition, and All Time Low.

The Kills, Wiley, and Glasvegas are the triple headliners for Sunday 24th August at Reading and Friday 22nd August Leeds.

Over the weekend the Festival Republic Stage will also play host to Los Campesinos, The Rascals, Twisted Wheel, Johnny Foreigner, You And Me At 6, Wild Beasts, Ida Maria, Collapsing Cities, The Teenagers, Friendly Fires, Black Kids, and Teenagers In Tokyo.

Plus there will be performances from Cage The Elephant, Fight Like Apes, Lovvers, These New Puritans, Natty, Emmy The Great, Florence and the Machine, White Denim, XX Teens, Fighting With Wire, In Case Of Fire, Black Acid, Black Tide, Jubilee, Louis XIV and Sergeant.

There is still more yet to come with the BBC Introducing Stage for unsigned bands at both sites and more acts and special moments on the Alternative Stage which hosts comedy, cabaret, films and musical collaborations.

These are the latest additions to a line-up of over 150 acts over the weekend on six stages. The Main Stage sees Rage Against The Machine, The Killers, and Metallica headlining. Plus Queens Of The Stone Age, The Fratellis, The Enemy, Biffy Clyro, Bloc Party, The Raconteurs, Editors, Tenacious D, Slipknot, Feeder, Avenged Sevenfold, Dropkick Murphys, Babyshambles, The Wombats, Vampire Weekend, Manic Street Preachers, Bullet For My Valentine, The Cribs, and Pendulum. Tickets have sold out. The price for a ticket was £155 for the 3 days with camping, day tickets are £65, campervans £10, lockers £15, and early entry tickets £10.

Reading Festival takes place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Leeds Festival takes place at Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
