Little Man Tate have announced on their official site (here) that they have been forced to cancel their sets at two festivals this weekend, T In The Park and Oxegen.
The announcement says that the reason for the cancellation is that frontman Jon Windle was attacked in Brighton on Wednesday night resulting in a fractured jaw.
The band were set to play Oxegen on Saturday and T In The Park on Sunday, but an X-Ray has resulted in the lead vocalist needing multiple stitches and a metal plate inserted into his mouth.
A spokesman for the band said, "The guys were out on Wednesday night celebrating with their new label Skint, when Jon was attacked by a group of thugs outside a club who were obviously looking for trouble. They badly cut up one of his eyes and fractured his jaw, so it wont be possible for the band to play either festival. They are really gutted."
The website says that Little Man Tate are still expected to perform at this year's V Festivals in August.
