With just days to go until Bestival which is heald at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight from Friday 5 September until Sunday 7 September 2008 the organisers have announced the comedy line-up in the Jestival tent.

The comedians confirmed include Andrew Maxwell who will not only be doing his stand-up routine but also his Full Mooners show. Plus there will be satirist Marcus Brigstocke, Canadian Craig Campbell, Trevor Lock, Adam Bloom, Phil Kay, improv with Phill Jupitus, Andre Vincent, Andy Smart and Richard Vranch.

Plus appearances from Howard Marks, Andy Askins, Jason John Whitehead, Greg Fleet, Carl Donnelly, Tiernan Douieb, Richard Quigly, Scott Anderson, Hannah George, Eric Lampaert/Polly Pyne, Benny Boot/Chris Martin, Tea And Cake Sketch Group, Adam Bloom, Graham Mcfarlane, Sol Bernstein, Pros From Dover, MC Silky, Andre Vincent, Tony Law, Carl Donnelly, Paul White, Ted Chippington, Ian Stone, Pete Cain, MC Craig Campbell, Nick Doody, Matt Kirshen, Ben Hurley, Keith Farnan, Sir Timothy Fitzhigham, and MC Jonathan Mayor.

As well as all the Jestival tom-foolery, Pants to Poverty, the underwear brand established by Make Poverty History, will be panting hard at Bestival as part of their mission to rid the world of bad pants! They will be holding a fashion show at their stall, overseeing the Best pants section of the fancy dress competition and hoping to make a world record on Sunday for the most people ever gathered in just their pants!

Bestival Radio returns to the airwaves again this year starting on Thursday 4th September at 4pm, the station will be on air 24 hours a day until Monday 8th at 12pm, broadcasting on 87.7FM around the Isle of Wight, so don't forget your radio.

If you are celebrating something at Bestival (and even if you're not!) you can email the Buttercupcakes ladies on buttercupcakes@hotmail.co.uk to pre-arrange a special personalised cake or cupcakes. The Buttercupcakes Afternoon Tea Hut, in the Bollywood Field will be open daily selling picnic box trays with options that will include sandwiches, scones with cream & jam, a selection of cakes and cups of tea. They will also be serving full afternoon tea with waitress service, between 2.30pm and 6pm on Saturday & Sunday inside the Time For Tease tent.

The musical line-up for Bestival includes My Bloody Valentine who are the Friday night headliner (an English festival exclusive), with Amy Winehouse headlining Saturday, and Underworld headlining Sunday. Also playing are Aphex Twin (English Festival Exclusive), The Breeders, CSS, George Clinton And Funkadelic/Parliament, Gary Numan, The Human League (exclusive two performance concert), Pendulum (live), 808 State (live), Foals, Lee Scratch Perry, Baaba Mal, The Wedding Present, Dan le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, and many more. As well as the music, Bestival has the world's biggest fancy dress party, the Bollywood cocktail bar, Jestival comedy tent, a farmers market, secret stages, kids area, Morris dancing, magical moments and more, which makes this affair one of the most colourful events on the festival calendar.
