Sly & Robbie, Easy Star All Stars, Iration Steppas, Natty and more for reggae festival

Boss Sounds Reggae Festival, one of the few UK festivals dedicated to reggae, returns to various venues in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with the event culminating in two nights which bring together many of the greats of reggae at the Newcastle Carling Academy on the Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th October.

Acts lined up to appear include Sly and Robbie, Misty In Roots, Easy Star All Stars, Ska Cubano, Iration Steppas, and Natty. This year's MC and DJ will be Jerry Dammers from the Specials. There are more acts still to be announced.

Over the weekend there will be other activities around the festival in various venues in the city. These include Jamaican food nights at local cafes.

Tickets will be on sale in advance for the two main shows at Newcastle Carling Academy priced at £17.50 a night and £30 weekend tickets. Click here to buy tickets when they become available.
