T in the Park 2009
Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July 2009Balado, nr Kinross. Scotland, KY13 0NJ, Scotland MAP
weekend £170 - SOLD OUT, day tickets Friday £60, and Saturday or Sunday £72.50
Daily capacity: 80,000
T in the Park has been successful in increasing it's licence from 80,000 to 85,000 - on condition that the extra 5,000 tickets are camping tickets.
This increases the campsite capacity for the weekend to 65,000, and those extra campers are permitted to arrive on the Thursday which should help lessen the traffic impact of the extra numbers. On the Friday of the festival the arena capacity will increase from 60,000 to 70,000, with the 5,000 tickets above those 5,000 extra campers being made available to people in Kinross and Milnathort, who, until now have been unable to gain access to Fridays music unless they bought camping tickets.
With no acts confirmed, the festival has already sold tens of thousands of tickets for next year off the back of its strong reputation. More tickets are expected on sale in February, when the first acts will be announced.
T in the Park will take place at Balado, Scotland on Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July. The first line-up announcements, with tickets going on sale again at the same time, are expected somewhen in the next few months.
For detailed information about various aspects of the festival see the T in the Park Information (includes detailed info on camping, travel, children, food & drink, and more).
