Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, and Keane, lead the ream of latest additions to the line-up for this year's T in the Park.
The ream of new confirmations also includes James, The Script, Foals, Seasick Steve, Manic Street Preachers, The Ting Tings, Maximo Park, Jason Mraz, Squeeze, Mogwai, The Mars Volta, Bjorn Again, Felix Da Housecat, Dave Clarke, The Airborne Toxic Event, Slam, The Gaslight Anthem, Beardyman, Simian Mobile Disco, Claude Von Stroke, Silicone Soul, and Hockey.
This year will also see the BBC Introducing Stage added to the festival for the first time. The stage supports unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar music, artists and DJ's. The stage will gives up and coming artists the opportunity to perform at T in the Park.
Festival Director, Geoff Ellis, said, "We've taken four of the biggest names in the world as headliners, added recent Grammy and Brit Award winners along with some of the hottest international talent from across the globe and brought you the beginnings of the line up for T in the Park 2009."
"With a world renowned audience, it's no wonder our early bird allocation of tickets sold out in under a day but T in the Parkers will get another chance to buy when tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am. Plus we've loads more still to announce and can't wait to see you in July!"
For the first time this year weekend day visitors can come to the Friday of the festival, but only provided that they buy a weekend coach ticket (no camping). The new three day ticket includes day access on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and three return Citylink journeys.
Acts previously confirmed for the festival held at Balado, Scotland on Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July include The Killers, Blur, Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Katy Perry, Razorlight, Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pendulum, Peter Doherty, and White Lies. Saturday and Sunday combined tickets are priced at £145, a weekend camping (including Friday arena access) ticket is priced at £170, car park tickets which must be bought in advance are priced at £17.50, and a Thursday camping upgrade is priced at £10.
Tickets will go on sale at 9am this Friday, 27th February, and eFestivals will have links to buy them at that time.
