The Hoedown Dance Stage is set to host Mr Scruff who will be playing a marathon six hour set on the Sunday afternoon. This year Lounge on the Farm will again be paying homage to some of Kent's favourite sons and creators of the 'Canterbury Sound'. Gong, James Taylor Quartet and The Steve Hillage Band, will all be making appearances on the Further Stage.

The five thousand capacity festival, now in its fourth year, features six stages with over one-hundred and sixty bands playing over three days including Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, DJ Format, Wild Beasts, The Invisible, The Wave Pictures, Baddies, Toddla T & Mc Serocee, Zomby, Joe Gideon & The Shark, Wild Beasts, and The Invisible.

Kent festival, organiser Matt Gough said, "Already this year the line-up is shaping up to be the best we've ever had at Merton Farm. We're talking to some huge acts for the Cowshed this summer, but couldn't wait any longer to tell everyone about the quality of music we already have lined up for the tents this year. Roll on July!"

The dates for the fourth Lounge on the Farm music festival, which takes place at Merton Farm in Canterbury, Kent are confirmed as Friday 10th to Sunday 12th of July 2009.

The ethos of the festival is to give local bands and musicians a platform upon which to perform alongside established acts from round the country. There are seven stages in total including a moving tractor stage.

Early Bird Tickets have been on sale since the 1st of February at the price of £65 for an adult weekend ticket, organisers of the festival anticipate that there are about a week's worth of sales left of these tickets.
