The Zutons, The Rumble Strips, and Beardyman lead the latest announcements for the Lake District's Kendal Calling festival.

The Zutons will headline the Sunday. New acts added to the bill also include Chase & Status, Shy FX, Iration Steppas, Skream, Andrew Weatherall, The Sunshine Underground, Crazy P, Noah and The Whale, Steppa, Exodus, The King Blues, Fight Like Apes, and Hereldeduke.

Also confirmed is Radio DJ Craig Charles better know to some as Lister from cult TV show Red Dwarf, who will be taking his record collection on a rare trip out of the studio. The BBC 6Music Funk & Soul Show DJ, will be getting down with the Kendal Calling crowd at Sunday's Kaylied Stage.

They join the likes of The Streets, Cornershop, The Travelling Band, The Yards, Riot Jazz, The Kabeedies and Kasms, all confirmed for the festival's fourth year.

With more big acts to be announced over the following weeks, Andy Smith, co-founder of Kendal Calling said, "This year's line-up is looking great already, with the likes of Beardyman and Skream we've got some of the most creative artists in British dance music. I saw Chase and Status live not so long ago and just knew we had to get them onboard, happily they answered the Call!"

Co-founder and fellow Cumbrian Ben Robinson added "We're also really excited about the various entertainment we have planned for during the day, such as the 'Fox and Hound' game sprawling all over the site. We've got something particularly special planned too, which we're hoping to announce shortly, it certainly won't be something the Lake District has seen before - well not all in the one field!"

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £70, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket is priced at £40, and children under 11 can attend for free, but need a ticket. To buy tickets, click here.

Kendal Calling is held in the Lake District, over the weekend of Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August and is a wholly independent festival returning for its fourth year in a new location at the Lowther Estate, Kendal, in East Cumbria.

As well as the main stage action there are acoustic acts and DJs, plus festival entertainers, beer tent, big top marquees, and new this years are comedians in a yurt, a folk/roots tent, and cabaret.
