Feeder
Making exclusive UK festival appearances at Knebworth in August will be Feeder, and Taking Back Sunday. Joining them on the bill are the newly confirmed Skindred, and Frank Turner.

Feeder frontman Grant Nicholas said about performing at the event, "It's great to be playing at Sonsiphere. I saw some great bands play at Knebworth when I was younger. It is an amazing venue and has hosted some of the most amazing shows over the years. It will be our only UK festival appearance this year as we are busy working on the next Feeder album – so we will be rocking as hard as ever."

There is also news for parents who are taking their children to the event held at Hertfordshire's Knebworth House on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd August 2009. Entry to the festival will now be free of charge for under 12s. Parents should purchase their own tickets and then take their child with them to the Box Office on arrival to be issued with a complementary wristband.

The event will have one main arena with a stage at either end. As well as Metallica, who top the bill on the Sunday with a full two-hour set, and Saturday headliners Linkin Park, also playing Knebworth are Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Alice In Chains and Anthrax. Others confirmed so far for the UK leg of Sonisphere include Machine Head, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Airbourne, Thin Lizzy, The Sword and Killing Joke.
