Heaven and Hell have confirmed that their only UK Festival appearance of 2009 will be at this year's Sonisphere.

Coheed & Cambria
Heaven and Hell comprise of members of the Dio-era Black Sabbath incarnation with Tony Iommi (guitar), Ronnie James Dio (vocals), Geezer Butler (bass) and Vinny Appice (drums). Their appearance will mark the first ever live performances of Black Sabbath songs at Knebworth in Hertfordshire.

Joining them on the Main Stage line-up will be Coheed & Cambria who will play their only UK show of 2009. Also making an exclusive UK festival appearance on the Second Stage will be The Used.

There are also new additions to the Bohemia Stage with The Ataris, Fucked Up, Hundred Reasons, and Zebrahead all set to appear over the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd August 2009.

Hundred Reasons' drummer Andy Bews said, "We're really stoked to be added to such a stellar line-up! Nothing beats people telling you they still remember the time you played a festival years and years ago - managing to stand out among a ton of great bands is really special. And with Metallica, NIN, Killing Joke and Anthrax at Knebworth, how can this not be amazing?"

The event will have one main arena with a stage at either end. As well as Metallica, who top the bill on the Sunday with a full two-hour set, and Saturday headliners Linkin Park, also playing Knebworth are Nine Inch Nails, Bullet For My Valentine, Alice In Chains, Anthrax, Machine Head, Avenged Sevenfold, Lamb Of God, Mastodon, Airbourne, Thin Lizzy, The Sword and Killing Joke. For the line-up details as available, please click here.

Weekend tickets are priced at £132.50, or £157.50 with camping. Lockers are priced at £10, and parking is also £10 in advance or £20 on the day. And early arrival camping entry ticket is priced at £10, and tickets for camper vans are priced at £40.

Entry to the festival will now be free of charge for under 12s. Parents should purchase their own tickets and then take their child with them to the Box Office on arrival to be issued with a complementary wristband. Please note that proof of age may be asked for. Sonisphere has abolished booking fees for ticket buyers and is issuing refunds to fans who have already paid out for them. There is also a package deal for tickets which also offers the new Guitar Hero: Metallica game.

There was also a deposit scheme where £40 per person paid now secures a weekend ticket order. The full balance of a deposit ticket plus any extras such as car pass, lockers etc must be paid by Tuesday 30th June 2009.
