T in the Park unveils a line-up of new Scottish talent

From almost 1400 entries, T Break's judging panel have selected sixteen unsigned Scottish acts to join the line-up at this July's T in the Park.

The sixteen acts who follow in the footsteps of Snow Patrol, Biffy Clyro, Attic Lights, Twin Atlantic and Zoey Van Goey (who all had their first taste of performing through T Break) include Tango in the Attic, Little Eskimos, Mike Nisbet, My Cousin I Bid You Farewell, The French Quarter, Punch & the Apostles, Ming Ming and the Ching Chings, Dead Boy Robotics, and Barn Owl.

The line-up of T Break acts playing at Balado, Scotland over the weekend of Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July is completed by Trapped in Kansas, G1ft, Maple Leaves, Gong Fei, Homework, Brother Louis Collective, and Popolo.

George Kyle, Head of Sponsorship at Tennent's Lager said, "We're proud to be giving these bands their shot at playing to thousands of music lovers at such an amazing event as T in the Park. It's a real opportunity for acts to breakthrough and gain exposure at a new level and we're thrilled to be giving 16 great Scottish bands that chance again this year."

They are the latest additions to a programme that will feature over 180 acts including headliners Kings of Leon, The Killers, Blur, Snow Patrol, and the following The Specials, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Manic Street Preachers, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Katy Perry, Razorlight, Noisettes, Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pendulum, Peter Doherty, White Lies, and more.

Camping tickets have sold out for T in the Park 2009, however there are still a handful of day or weekend tickets available, these are priced as follows:
Saturday or Sunday Day Tickets (No Camping) £72.50
Parking tickets which must be bought in advance £17.50
Campervan ticket £100
Lockers (with phone chargers) £15

The campsite opens on Thursday 9th July which means you can take advantage of an extra day of festival fun with a Thursday camping ticket priced at £10, which includes entertainment including the campsite cinema screen, and the fairground.
