Rizla Arena line-up revealed with Gruff Rhys, Unabombers, and more

The Glimmers, Todd Terje, Four Tet,and Soul 2 Soul's Jazzie B, have been confirmed to appear at The Rizla Arena at this year's Big Chill festival.

The Rizla Invisible Players tour touches down at The Big Chill with a new look arena and a line-up of party hosts. Playing the The Rizla Arena in the Lake Green field on Friday will be The Glimmers, Todd Terje, Jon Carter, DJ Coyote, and Super Furry Animal Gruff Rhys.

Saturday's line-up features Chris Duckenfield, Four Tet (DJ set), Greco Roman Soundsystem featuring Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Man Like Me (DJ Set), and David Shrigley.

Whilst appearing on the Sunday will be Unabombers, Jazzie B, The Heatwave, Heavenly Jukebox, Micachu (DJ set).

Playing from their musical, van which is a recreation of the original Rizla touring van of the 1920's, the Invisible Players play spontaneously from a diverse record collection. There are no prepared set lists, just improvisation and the creation of a unique vibe in the Rizla Arena. The sound could vary from Dub, Electro, Dancehall, Funk, Hip Hop, Breakbeat to Northern Soul and Acid House.

The Big Chill which happens on Friday 7th until Sunday 9th August at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire offers both families and ravers a diverse range of music including folk, jazz, African, dub, and unique collaborations; as well as art, films, poetry, cabaret, kids spaces, comedy, and literature.

Music acts confirmed for next month's festival include Basement Jaxx, Orbital, and David Byrne, as headliners, with other acts including Gong, Lamb, Magistrates, Alphabeat (DJ Set), DJ Derek, Ska Cubano,Friendly Fires, Norman Jay,Wonky Pop, Ludovico Einaudi, Calexico, Horse Meat Disco, Pharoah Sanders, Favela Chic Soundsystem, Alice Russell, John Hegley, and Summer of Dub. Tickets are on sale, priced at £145 for an adult weekend ticket, teen tickets (13 to 17 years old) are priced at £60, and kid (12 and under) are £4. Live-in vehicle tickets are priced at £50 (per vehicle for the weekend), and car park tickets are £7.50 in advance, more on the gate.
