The Specials, and Gallows have been added to the line-up for this year's Liverpool Music Week festival.
Gallows have also been added to the festival line-up and will perform at Academy 2 on Saturday 28th November.
Liverpool Music Week Director James Barton said, "We're really excited that such a legendary band as The Specials will be opening this year's Liverpool Music Week at the iconic Olympia Theatre, and that they've also chosen Liverpool to kick off their 30th Anniversary tour, this will be a very special event for any fan, me included. And having one of the UK's hottest emerging acts Gallows confirmed, Liverpool Music Week 2009 is shaping up to be the biggest one yet."
Other acts confirmed to perform at Liverpool Music Week 2009 for Liverpool Music Week are Kasabian, Reverend And The Makers, The Enemy.
Liverpool Music Week is billed as the UK's largest indoor winter music festival and will be staging over 80 events, across 26 venues and will play host to over 250 live bands. The festival format is a combination of ticketed shows and free shows, with artists including the well known live acts, and new emerging talent.
