£37.50

Devon rock trio, Muse will return to their Devonshire home town for two live shows on Teignmouth's Den on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September 2009 according to local sources at Teignmouth Council.

Muse
Ticket prices will be £37.50 and will go on sale at 9am this Friday (21st August). The premises licence for the two nights could be up to 15,000 people. An inside source has told eFestivals that promoter SJM have successfully applied to the district council for a licence for a music concert on The Den, a beach fronted lawned open space that runs the length of the town, but with only 10,000 tickets being on sale for each evening.

To buy tickets, from 9am on Friday 21st August, click here.

Coach transport packages will be available departing from the following cities: Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Southampton, Nottingham, and Oxford. Tickets will also be available from a local box office in Teignmouth. Full details of this box office location and date/time of opening will be made available in the local press.

The licensing permission also includes the provision of live and recorded music and the sale of alcohol, which would suggest a full day of music and Muse having special guests on the bill. The Den will be open to ticket holders from 3pm to 11pm.

Muse have returned to Teignmouth several times in the past to pay tribute to their home. They opened a £3million arts centre at Teignmouth Community College in 2004 and secretly used the nearby Coombeshead College as a rehearsal space for their 2003 world tour. It is expected that the band will make a contribution to the town again this year with some of the proceeds from the event.

The concerts will take place before Muse embark on a 10-week tour of America and Europe.

eFestivals will provide more information on the event on this page, once it becomes available, more details are expected to be announced this afternoon.
