Registration will be temporarily suspended before and during the main ticket selling period, so eFestivals would recommend those wanting to buy tickets register today if they want to buy tickets on Sunday, as everyone must be successfully registered by Friday 2nd October 2009.

In order to buy a ticket festival goers must be registered, with online registration only taking a few minutes, this needs to be completed at least 48 hours before trying to buy a ticket.

Anyone registering should allow time for their photo to be approved and this can take up to 48 hours, which is not far from the Friday deadline.

Everyone aged over 12 on Wednesday 23rd June 2010 (when the Festival starts) who plans to the come the Festival, must register. Children aged 12 and under do not require tickets and do not need to register.

Registration requires providing basic contact details and uploading a passport-standard photo. Once the photo has been approved, registers are sent a unique registration number that will need to be quoted to book a ticket. To register click here.

Registration does not reserve or guarantee a ticket. For more details about registering and ticket information click here.

Next year's event will mark the 40th anniversary of the Music and Arts Festival at Worthy Farm, Somerset, where Michael Eavis first opened his gates for business in September 1970.

Tickets will be available via www.seetickets.com and through the dedicated phone line, 0844 412 4635. All registered festival-goers who want to buy tickets have two options. They can either buy a full weekend ticket at a price of £185 + £5 booking fee (plus £4.95 postage). Alternatively, tickets can be reserved using the deposit scheme introduced last year at a cost of £50 per ticket and pay the balance by Sunday 28th February 2010. Alternatively the balance can be paid in full anytime from Sunday 4th October.

Next year's Glastonbury runs for five full days from Wednesday 23rd until Sunday 27th June 2010 across a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm. Expect something like 2,000 performances at 50 or so venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic Kidz area, poetry, green crafts and information and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music, so make sure you check it all out!

Only one act is confirmed so far, but as usual eFestivals will bring you the very best-sourced rumours, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2010 rumours, updated as we receive information.
