Next year's event will mark the 40th anniversary of the Music and Arts Festival at Worthy Farm, Somerset, where Michael Eavis first opened his gates for business in September 1970.

Tickets are expected to be available on this link, click here, or alternatively www.seetickets.com and through the dedicated phone line, 0844 412 4635. Anyone aged 13 or over who wishes to buy a ticket must be registered. All registered festival-goers who want to buy tickets have two options. They can either buy a full weekend ticket at a price of £185 + £5 booking fee (plus £4.95 postage).

Alternatively, tickets can be reserved using the deposit scheme introduced last year at a cost of £50 per ticket and pay the balance by Sunday 28th February 2010. Alternatively the balance can be paid in full anytime from Sunday 4th October.

Car Parking and campervan/caravan tickets will be priced at £15 and £75 respectively. Car Park or Campervan Tickets can not be booked until the balance is paid for at least one of the tickets on a booking.

With both these options, the number of tickets available per transaction for registered customers is six - as long as each purchase (or deposit) is matched with valid registration numbers.

Payment by card for UK sales (both online and by telephone) will be by the following debit cards only - Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Switch/Maestro Domestic and Solo. Credit cards will not be accepted for UK sales. For the purpose of ticket sales the UK includes Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
