Rave legends Orbital will be playing one of their legendary live sets at Stoke Park for the first time at GuilFest as Friday's headline act.

Orbital
With an illustrious career of over 20 years, Orbital are creators of some of the best known rave anthems in history, most notably 'Chime', 'Style', 'Belfast', 'The Box' and 'Satan' and will be bringing these hits and more to Stoke Park, in Guildford to end the Friday night of the festival in style. Their appearance has been confirmed on the band's official website, (here).

The brothers from Sevenoaks are considered by many to be true innovators of techno music, and during their seven studio album career have worked with a hugely diverse group of collaborative artists including Alison Goldfrapp and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammet, as well as performing remix duties for such icons as Madonna, Queen Latifah and their all time heroes, Kraftwerk.

With a fantastic live reputation, having played at such prestigious venues as The Royal Albert Hall, Woodstock and Glastonbury; Orbital's live performances remain some of the truly greatest electronica shows – their 1994 Glastonbury performance even earning a Q magazine award as one of the 50 greatest gigs of all time!

Orbital join already announced headliners The Human League and Status Quo, who will perform on Saturday 17th July, and Sunday 18th July respectively.

As a special treat to orbital fans the band's website is offering Friday tickets to GuilFest with £5 off. The tickets priced at £35 will be available until midday tomorrow.
