The annual search for unsigned bands and solo artists offers the main prize of a chance to perform on one of the Festival's main music stages still up for grabs.

The competition is open to all bands and performers who are not be signed to a major label and based in the UK or Ireland. Acts should upload two of their tracks to the competition website, at competition website. The live finals will be held at the end of March 2010. The full competition rules and conditions are also available on the link above. Each entry costs £11.95, which covers the running costs of the competition and the event finals.

As usual, the competition will be judged by a team of music experts, representing the Festival (Michael and Emily Eavis), BBC Radio One (Huw Stephens) and Q Magazine (editor Paul Rees). The judges will be responsible for picking 11 of the finalists, with 10 runners-up put to a public vote to secure the final 12th spot.

Once again this year the public will be able to decide one 'wild card' entry into the finals. This act, voted for online at competition website, will then be given the final 12th spot - and have a chance to win a slot on the Pyramid or Other Stage.

Glastonbury's Emerging Talent Competition is the best way to get your music listened to by many of the stage and area programmers involved in the Festival.

Tickets have sold out for this year's Glastonbury Festival which runs for five full days from Wednesday 23rd until Sunday 27th June 2010 across a 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset. There will be no more tickets on sale until sometime early in 2010.
