Bloodstock will have Onslaught

and Snakebite win a slot on the bill

British thrashers Onslaught will make their first ever UK festival appearance at this year's Bloodstock Open Air.

Thrash metallers Onslaught formed in 1983 released three albums before disbanding in 1990. They reformed in 2005 and returned with a new album in 2007. The band will take time out from recording their fifth album to make their only UK show of the year.

Founding member and drummer Steve Grice said, "We are very excited and to be playing Bloodstock 2010. Not only will it be the only UK show Onslaught play this year, but the very first outdoor show we have played in the UK. We look forward to bringing some real Flesh Melting -Thrash Metal to the Guys and Gals of Bloodstock. See you all there!"

Joining them on the line-up are Snakebite. The four piece heavy metal band from South-East London won the Metal 2 The Masses competition earning them a slot on the bill.

Bloodstock's 10th Anniversary will take place from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th August 2010 at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire.

They join a line-up that includes headliners Twisted Sister, Children Of Bodom, Heaven & Hell, and Fear Factory, plus GWAR, Gojira, Korpiklaani, Obituary, Suffocation, Behemoth, and more. As well as the international heavy metal bands across three stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.

Tickets are available and include camping priced at £99.95 for adults and £40 for children, and £30 for a campervan ticket, and £10 for a car parking pass. Day tickets are expected to be on sale at a later date. To buy tickets, click here.
