Tinchy Stryder, and Mumford & Sons for Summer Sundae

Tinchy Stryder, and Mumford & Sons lead the first acts announced for Summer Sundae Weekender celebrating its 10th year.

Summer Sundae Weekender has announced two acts of the moment - the Bow born MC Tinchy Stryder, and Mumford & Sons who have become one of the most significant British success stories in recent years, shifting nearly a quarter of a million copies of their debut album 'Sigh No More'.

Joining them at De Montfort Hall, in Leicester will be The Sunshine Underground, The Wave Pictures, and The Whip.

Legendary performers at this year's event include The Fall, and The Woodentops, with A Genuine Freakshow, and The Go! Team also confirmed for the line-up of acts appearing over the weekend of Friday 13th to Sunday 15th August 2010.

Singer songwriters Lou Rhodes, and Laura Veirs both return to Summer Sundae on the De Montfort Hall stage, as part of this year's tenth anniversary celebrations.

Summer Sundae Weekender has long been a leading champion of emerging talent, and this year is no exception with Local Natives, Erland And The Carnival, and Goldheart Assembly.

Early-bird Tickets are available until the 31st March priced from £95 for one adult to £250 for a family of four (2 adults, 2 children), and early bird weekend disabled ticket (two for one) is priced at £47.50, an early bird child (aged 5-15 years) is priced at £35, and under 5s go for free. Day tickets and other options will be available a later date.

Camping tickets are per person, not per tent, an adult camping ticket will be priced at £8.50, a child camping ticket will be priced at £4.25, quiet or family camping will be priced at £10 (Regents College), and child family camping will be priced at £5 (Regents College), with camper vans and caravans tickets priced at £30.

Summer Sundae Weekender has since its inception in 2001 it has expanded to a three day, six stage festival, with over a hundred acts. This year the festival will improve and expand the camping facilities, make further investment in The Garden, The Kidzone, Films and Comedy Tents and The Village areas, and promises more treats to tantalise and entice patrons to celebrate the Summer Sundae Weekender, than ever before.
