The newly confirmed acts are headed up by Soulfly who will be flying in from the US to appear on the Saturn stage. Lead singer Max Cavalera said, ""Soulfly is coming to fuck shit up! I can't wait to play the new stuff for you. Bring da shit, UK!!!!"

Coming all the way from Perth, Australia are prog-lined alternative rockers Karnivool who will be making their first and only UK festival appearance. Another festival exclusive is Delain who take time out from working on their third album to also make their first ever UK festival appearance at Sonisphere this summer.

Also added the rockin' line-up are Polar Bear Club, Heavens Basement, Bigelf, 80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Turisas, Katatonia, and The Union.

Sonisphere has today announced its first comedy line-up ever in the shape of Sean Hughes, Tim Minchin, Andrew O'Neill, and Jarred Christmas. The comedy will take place in Bohemia on the Saturday and Sunday, providing hilarious relief from the serious business of rocking out to the bands on offer. Expect more names to be announced in the coming weeks for the comedy line-up.
They join the previous announced acts which include headliners Iron Maiden (only UK show of 2010), Rammstein (first ever UK festival appearance), with Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, The Cult, Iggy & The Stooges, Anthrax, Placebo, Papa Roach, and more. Tickets are on sale. Weekend tickets are priced at £132.50, or £157.50 with camping. Lockers are priced at £10, and parking is also £10 in advance or £20 on the day. And early arrival camping entry ticket is priced at £5, and tickets for camper vans are priced at £40.
