The Subways, Chiddy Bang, General Fiasco, and Pulled Apart By Horses are amongst the latest acts eFestivals can exclusively reveal for the Lake District's Kendal Calling festival.

Stepping up onto the main stage at Kendal Calling will alt rock 3-piece The Subways, hip hop samplers Chiddy Bang, ex-Verve Guitarists Simon Tong's band Erland and the Carnival, and new talent Danny Fontaine.

The Calling Out stage is all about new music, with a special collaboration with Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets) who curates the Saturday. His 'Boon Army Presents' day will be all about new music from all over the UK.

Belfast boys General Fiasco will be heading up a Calling Out Stage that also sees The Parlotones, Glasgow's Dananananaykroyd, Good Shoes, and Sound Of Guns. Supporting local talent includes South Yorkshire's Exit Calm, Morning Parade, Manchester's Jesse Rose Trip, Morecambe's and The Heartbreaks who are excited to be on board. The band said: "It's heartwarming to be part of such a great event that is a mere bus journey from our childhood homes."

Leeds bands Chickenhawk and Pulled Apart By Horses will be thrashing out some grunge and metal at this year's Kendal Calling with These New Puritans, Goldheart Assembly, The Ladykillers, Doll & The Kicks, The Crookes, Seal Cub Clubbing Club, Stormy Corner, Elgazelle, Janice Graham, Our Fold, Buen Chico, Underdogs, The Lucid Dream, Micky P Kerr, The Wind-Up Birds, and The Kiara Elles completing the acts announced today.

Ben Robinson director of Kendal Calling said, "Great new music is the backbone to a really good festival and I'm sure fans will find some new favourite bands among these acts. Don't forget Mumford and Sons were on this level just a year ago!"

Calvin Harris will headline the Friday night with Doves on Saturday and The Coral on Sunday. Also confirmed are Wild Beasts, The Futureheads, Ok Go, Dub Pistols, Erol Alkan, DJ Yoda, Plump DJs, High Contrast, Scratch Perverts, Elite Force, Justin Robertson, Danny Byrd, Doorly, Eskimo Twins, Emalkay, People Get Real, Rich Reason, Ken Evil, Ash Howell, First Aid Kit, Mark Chadwick, Unabombers, Beat Boutique, Craig Charles, and The Lancashire Hotpots, with more acts to be confirmed. Wax:On will take the reins in the Dance Tent on Saturday and Ape will host the arena on Sunday.

Tickets sold out last year for Kendal Calling which this year has also introduced a deposit scheme which enables ticket buyers to pay £30 now to secure a ticket and pay the rest later at no extra cost.

An adult ticket including 3 days and nights camping is priced at £85, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket is priced at £45, and children under 11 can attend for free, but need a ticket. A campervan ticket is priced at £40.

Kendal Calling is held in the Lake District, over the weekend of Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st August and is a wholly independent festival returning for its fifth year and returning to the Lowther Estate, Kendal, in East Cumbria.
