With the offer of free access to children Under 12, and reduced ticket prices for Under 16's GuilFest attracts a lot of festival goers of all ages. The family friendly festival is just over a month away and organisers have ramped up the entertainment for the weekend by announcing some treats for those younger family members.

Alongside the eclectic music line ups, hilarious comedians, great theatre, food and drink, the festival is dedicated to making sure younger visitors have a wonderful time, in the KidZone which features all manner of wonderful performances, shows, fun, and games.

This year, GuilFest's KidZone will have two very special guests! On Saturday children's favourite Peppa Pig will be appearing; while on Sunday that loveable purple dinosaur, Barney will be around! Both Peppa Pig and Barney will be meeting and greeting visitors at various intervals throughout the day they are at the festival.

This year as well as Peppa Pig and Barney, the Kidzone will also feature a host of other shows and rides. Kicking off on Friday, with a daring stunt by Kwabana Lindsay – as he plays the fiddle, whilst walking a slackwire towering above The KidZone's Big Top where little ones can watch PeteZa the one man circus doing a kids cabaret show. On Saturday, the Pirate Fairies search for lost laughs, alongside clowns Big Foot and Furry Foot, the fantastic Fezheads, and Theatre Des Bicyclettes. In the evening there's a fire show from Maxfire & Justin, plus CrowZone's Dancing Skeletons, Jo Dragon and Norman The Gnome! On Sunday the Booster Cushion Theatre Company performing Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Ickle Pigs As well as Doctor Palfi, The UK African Acrobats Experience, John Row, and a chance to join in with the fancy dress parade around the festival, with this year's theme being ROBOTS! There's a chance to create a costume at Reasons to be Cheerful Crafts.

The KidZone also houses all ages games and activities including Jans Blackboard Van offering an assortment of creative fun. Daemon or Doppelganger, based in beautiful new Indian tent gives kids the chance to model themselves in clay. Plus Bigtopmania's Crazy Bikes & Crazy Inflatables, Furry Foot's Musical Emporium, and Festival Sticker Arts returns where there's a chance to make literally anything from stickers· Plus Hair Braiding, temporary tattoos, face painting, and even ice creams.

There's a Toddlers under 5s tent with lots of safe play for them too. An opportunity to try out Circus Skills from trying to tight rope to hanging on a Trapeze to flipping on a trampete, plus hula hoops, diabolos, juggling and plate spinning.

For the digitally minded there's the EA Games Area which is packed with the latest console games for those kids (and big kids!) who can't go without mashing buttons for a whole weekend!

GuilFest also hosts hundreds of stalls offering a wide range of services and goodies, from fashion and craft to massages and bubble swords! Moreover, there will be the chance to sample deliciously scrumptious food from light bites to any continental delicacy you can imagine. Even when it comes to beverages GuilFest has a broad selection on offer from Fairtrade Coffee to smoothies, and a late licensed Massive 150ft bar and Calypso Cocktail bars.

The Man In The Moon Theatre Tent offers a chance to relax and enjoy the arts, and will be showcasing entertaining productions, and there's a chance to have a good laugh in the eFestivals Cosmic Comedy Lounge.

GuilFest is known for its huge variety of music – this year, headlining the festival on the main stage, are Orbital, The Human League, and Status Quo, whilst elsewhere on the site you can catch acts as diverse as N-Dubz, Hawkwind, Tinie Tempah, The Blackout, Dreadzone, Level42, The King Blues and many more. GuilFest is the quintessential English Family Festival and the perfect place to enjoy 3 sunny days of music, fun and laughter from Friday 16th until Sunday 18th July 2010.

Other attractions at GuilFest include the 70s Disco, the brand new Ceroc Dance Tent, Farmer Giles Barndance (featuring a live ceilidh band), Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstalls River Cottage Cafe, The Unison Zone and lots more besides.

Right next door to the GuilFest site is Guildford Lido – a beautiful 1930s 50m swimming pool, set in picturesque rolling green hills. So remember to bring your swimming togs! Also next door is Guildford Spectrum, one of the top leisure centres in the country with a great variety of activities including ten pin bowling and Ice skating, amongst many others.

Tickets are priced at £100 for an adult weekend, or £110 weekend with camping. Children between 12 and 16 years old tickets are priced at £50 for the weekend, £60 for weekend with camping. N.B. Children between 12 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged under 12 have free entry with a ticket holding adult. Campervan tickets are priced at £60.

Day tickets are available Friday adult tickets are priced at £40, Saturday or Sunday tickets are priced at £45. Kids tickets are priced at £30 for each of the three days.
