Sonic Journeys, sees sounduk commission artists to create new works capturing the essence, spirit and feeling of travelling along a stretch of inspiring landscape. The first artist to create their journey is Will Gregory, best known as one half of the group Goldfrapp. Sonic Journey #1 sees Gregory compose a score of music inspired by his own personal journey through a specific route at Eastnor Castle Deer Park by foot. Big Chill goers are invited to download the exclusive free track and map from www.sonicjourneys.co.uk and then experience the music inspired by the journey whilst walking in Gregory's footsteps. The download will available both before and throughout the festival.

Already announced for this year, nude installation artist Spencer Tunick will be calling on Chillers to disrobe in the name of art for his latest creation at the festival, and cult food architects Bompas & Parr will be inviting Chillers to indulge with the Ziggurat of Flavour, a spectacular pyramidal installation, containing a labyrinth of taste sensations, the journey ending with visitors travelling down a grand working slide overlooking the festival's lake.

The Big Chill will take place from Thursday 5th until Sunday 8th August at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire. Massive Attack, M.I.A., and Lily Allen will headline. Also confirmed are Kelis, Roy Ayers, Henrik Schwarz, Roots Manuva, London Elektricity, Kirsty Almeida, Gilles Peterson, The Leisure Society, Netsky, Breakage, Layo & Bushwacka!, Foreign Beggars, High Contrast, Tinie Tempah, John Hegley, The Bug, Mixmaster Morris, Jose Padilla, Cringe, The Fisherman's Friends, Toddla T & MC Serocee, The Heatwave, Futureboogie, Terry Callier, Plan B, and many more.
