The Banshee stage line-up has been announced for Wizard the two day music and arts festival in the North East happening in just over two weeks time.
Saturday's line-up has been announced as The Folsom Five, Grousebeater Sound System , Three Blind Wolves, Brothers Reid, Kid Canaveral, The Side, Right Hand Left, In Atlanta, and JJ Bull who join the previously announced Hip Parade, The Draymin, and Root System.
Aberdeen favourites The Little Kicks, and Celtic rockers Celtallica have also been announced both securing a main stage slot.
Roy Thain, Wizard Festival director said, "Once again the calibre of young musicians and bands that applied to play at Wizard was very high and we have had a tough time deciding on the best acts to put onto the bill. We see this as an opportunity to provide local talent with a chance to perform at a major music event and hopefully help them to achieve their ambitions. Wizard is a great platform for artists and musicians from all over the North-east to shine and we are committed to providing as much help as we can to these acts so that they can move forward with their careers. We are really looking forward to watching these acts step up and deliver great shows for fans that will travel from all over Scotland, the UK and further afield to attend Wizard."
They join a line-up over the weekend of Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August 2010 that includes Saturday headliners Happy Mondays plus Alabama 3, Complete Stone Roses and Peatbog Faeries, who have already been confirmed to play at the event.
Now in its fourth year, Wizard, takes place at the New Deer Show Ground near Peterhead and Fraserburgh, North East Scotland and attracts music fans from across Scotland and more than 4,000 people attended last year's event.
A family friendly event, Wizard also runs a full two day children's programme and has a dedicated arena, Wee Wizards, where families and young people can get involved in creative and musical activities and workshops.
Made up of three stages, over 50 acts will appear at Wizard across two days in August. Held in the beautiful setting of the New Deer Showground, approximately 30 miles from Aberdeen, last year it added a full line up of DJs as well as local acts and arena performers to its bill.
Tickets are on sale priced at £70 for an adult weekend ticket (includes camping & parking from 1pm Fri to noon Sun) or £45 for a Saturday adult day ticket (includes camping & parking Saturday only), a campervan/caravan ticket is priced at £20. Children 12 years old and under go free.
