Eliza Doolittle
Unfortunately The Wave Pictures have had to cancel their performance tomorrow due to illness. They released the following statement:

"It is with regret that we have to cancel our performance at Summer Sundae festival due to illness. We were very much looking forward to the slot."

Eliza Doolittle will now perform at 7pm on the Rising Stage tomorrow (Friday) instead of her previously announced 5.45pm Musician Stage slot. Eliza's slot on the Musician Stage will be filled by tonight's Summer Sundae Fringe act By The Rivers.

The three day family friendly music festival with full camping facilities offers festival goers over 100 acts with an eclectic mix of live bands of all styles and genres over six stages, and high calibre comedy in the eFestivals Comedy Tent. The dates for the tenth Summer Sundae Weekender held at De Montfort Hall, Leicester are confirmed as Friday 13th to Sunday 15th August.

Summer Sundae Weekender also has a Fringe event held in its own right which sees venues around Leicester hosting shows tonight (Thursday), the night before the main festival. The Fringe Thursday events are run to raise funds annually for LOROS, the Leicestershire Hospice Charity.

For the 10th celebrations Summer Sundae Weekender organisers have amassed an eclectic range of performers, with Seasick Steve leading the way on Friday, the twice chart topping pop/grime phenomenon Tinchy Stryder headlining Saturday night and bringing proceedings to a close on Sunday is the mighty Mumford & Sons. Summer Sundae will be showcasing the best from the emergent new folk-rock scene (Mumford & Sons, Stornoway, Fanfarlo, Goldheart Assembly), Indie (The Futureheads, Local Natives, The Low Anthem, Los Campesinos! The invisible) Electronica (Caribou), Hip Hop & Grime (Roots Manuva, Riz MC, Skepta, Devlin), new artists (Lissie, Gaggle, Fools Gold, Summer Camp, Eliza Doolittle, Kid Adrift), chart toppers (Tinchy Stryder, Diana Vickers), and legends (Teenage Fanclub, The Fall, Steve Mason).
