Jarvis Cocker
Having last performed together in December 2002 Pulp will be appearing on the main stage at the Isle of Wight Festival 2011 on Saturday 11th June.

With a career spanning over three decades Pulp are the latest addition to this year's rockin' line-up. The show will involve all the original members of the band (Nick Banks, Jarvis Cocker, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey, Russell Senior and Mark Webber) and they will be playing songs from all periods of their career.

Festival organiser John Giddings said, "When I heard they were reforming, I had to get them, they are the soundtrack of a generation. 2011 marks the 10th birthday of the legendary Isle of Wight Festival and the equally impressive line up will be announced over the days to come. So far, the world class Kings of Leon occupy Friday's top spot and will be joined by some of the best acts around, making it a blistering birthday celebration to remember."

There will be another line-up announcement tomorrow, when the next two acts to be announced before tickets for the the tenth anniversary of the Isle Of Wight Festival go on sale at 9am on Friday 19th November, and eFestivals will have links for you to buy them then.

Tickets will be priced at £175 for adult camping which includes entertainment in the campsite on Thursday night, and £87.50 for a child ticket (aged 7 to 12 years). The price of an adult ticket without camping is £150 and £75 for children (aged 7 to 12 years). All children 6 years old and under on 10th June 2011 can go for free but must still have a ticket. A campervan permit is £250 (all occupiers must also have a valid Camping ticket).

There will not be any Festival First this year.

The first acts previously confirmed are Friday night headliners Kings of Leon, and 'The British Pink Floyd Show'.

The festival has a large main stage in a natural amphitheatre that showcases well known rock and indie names, a legendary act or two, and rising stars, in a relaxed festival atmosphere.

Making a return in 2011 is the 5,000 capacity circus style Big Top. This plays host to a special night with entertainment on the Thursday on offer to campers only, and then acts as a second stage once the festival begins.

Away from the Main Stage, there is the Acoustic Stage, and the Platform One Bandstand which offers unsigned acts and local bands, around 50 acts in all.

The arena is expected to open from 2pm until midnight on the Friday, 11am until midnight on the Saturday, and 11am until 11pm on the Sunday. No bottles, cans, chairs, etc, may be taken into the arena. The Campsites are open from noon on Thursday until noon on Monday. Strawberry Fields opens on Thursday at 6pm until midnight for campers.
