According to The Sun, here, The Libertines are reforming again to play this summer's Glastonbury Festival.
They report that a source has told them, "Although there are no signs of new songs, the boys have realised that they can take a nice payday by playing each summer.
They bagged more than £1million for Reading and Leeds in 2010 and, although they won't get as much for Glasto, it will still be a good earner."
The paper also believes that also booked to join The Libertines on the bill at Glastonbury Festival this summer are Cee Lo Green, The Vaccines, and Biffy Clyro.
We have had The Libertines and Cee-Lo Green rumored to appear at Glastonbury Festival for some time, and we think The Libertines will be the Sunday night headliner on the Other Stage, if so they would provide a possible alternative to those not interested in watching the rumored Main Stage headliner Beyonce.
No acts are officially confirmed as yet, although it looks likely that U2, and Coldplay, will also headline. As usual eFestivals bring you the very best-sourced rumours, allowing festival-goers to see who is playing long before the bands are formally announced - keep your eyes on the Glastonbury 2011 rumours, updated as we receive information.
Tickets have sold out for this summer's Glastonbury Festival which runs for five full days from Wednesday 22nd until Sunday 26th June 2011 across a 1000 hectares (2470 acres) of beautiful countryside at Worthy Farm, Somerset. Resales of unwanted tickets are expected at some point in April.
